Just passing on some very important information to share with you a special invitation from our very own MaryAnn. Since we are all such book connoisseurs, it would be wonderful if we could come out this Saturday afternoon in a show of solidarity, and to help a local lady business owner do her thing. What's a Cash Mob?

"The general idea is to encourage people to go into small, local businesses and spend their money, en masse, to give the business owner a little bit of economic stimulus. We’d help businesses grow, we’d make people happy, we’d get stuff for ourselves, have a great time, and maybe we’d get a drink to celebrate afterward."

Join the mob at Underground Books, 35th Street & Broadway in Oak Park, Sacramento, CA, Saturday, June 23.  Aim to arrive between 4:30 and 5:00; stay as long as 6:00.  Old Soul Coffee is next door.  Park on surrounding streets if possible (there's a small parking lot shared by several tenants in the block).
